Vahid received his BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (Iran, 2013) and Amirkabir University of Technology (Iran, 2015), respectively.  He worked as an R&D Engineer in the field of design, manufacturing, inspection and medical device (2018, Iran). He is currently pursuing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at McMaster University. He joined Motamed lab in January 2018 where his main research interests are cardiovascular biomechanics, medical device design and advanced numerical simulations including computational fluid dynamics and fluid-structure interaction.

 

Outside the lab: Vahid enjoys playing instruments, writing music and working out. He is also an executive member of McMaster's Iranian Students Association (MISA). ​
